About Screenshot Crawler
Last updated 11 October 2026
Screenshot Crawler is a browser extension made by an independent developer in Australia. It captures web pages whose content scrolls inside panels, sidebars and columns, and captures each of those areas at full length, along with the page around them. It was first released for Firefox on 7 September 2026.
Why it exists
Many full-page screenshot tools scroll the document. Web apps often keep the document still and scroll their content inside separate areas instead: dashboards, email and chat apps, documentation with a scrolling sidebar, admin consoles. A document-scrolling capture of one of those pages returns the visible part of each area and cuts the rest off at the fold.
Screenshot Crawler finds every independently scrolling area on the page and captures each one from top to bottom in a single pass. Sticky headers are captured once. The result is one image or PDF of the whole working screen. You can try it, or any other tool, on the two-panel test page.
How it is built
- Local processing. Captures, page text and edits are made and saved on your device. The extension uploads nothing and has no analytics or telemetry. The privacy policy has the detail.
- No account. Every capture mode is free. Pro is a US$5 licence, paid once and verified offline. See pricing.
- Open release history. Every version and what changed is in the changelog.
Where to get it
Screenshot Crawler is listed on Firefox Add-ons for Firefox 142 or later. A Chrome test build for Chrome 137 or later can be installed now, and the Chrome Web Store listing is in review.
