These terms cover the Screenshot Crawler browser extension, this website, and the Screenshot Crawler Pro licence. Screenshot Crawler is the licensor of the software and the operator of this website. Installing the extension or buying a licence means you accept them.
1. The licence you are buying
A Pro licence is a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Pro features of Screenshot Crawler. It does not expire and is not a subscription.
What it includes. Your licence covers every release of the Screenshot Crawler extension distributed under the listing you bought it for, including every Pro feature added in those releases. There is no update window and no renewal. If a successor product is ever released under a different listing, it may be sold separately; Pro licence holders will be told what discount applies before it goes on sale.
Who it covers. One licence covers one named person on as many computers and browser profiles as that person uses. A purchase with a quantity above one is a single key covering that many named people within one organisation. The software does not count seats; you agree to hold a seat for each person who uses Pro. You may not share, resell, publish or sublicense your key beyond the people it covers. A key found shared publicly may be revoked.
Commercial use. Pro may be used for any lawful purpose, including paid work and work for an employer or client.
The key holder. The purchaser receives the key and distributes it. Key recovery is available to the purchaser’s email address only.
How it is checked. The extension verifies your key against a public key built into the extension. It never contacts our servers to check, renew, refresh or revoke a key. Revocation reaches the extension with its next update.
Changes. Any change to what a licence includes applies to licences bought after the change is published. Licences already issued keep what they were sold with.
Your licence lets you use the software. You do not own it.
2. Purchases
Paddle.com Market Ltd is the merchant of record for all orders. Your contract of sale is with Paddle, and their Buyer Terms apply. Prices are in US dollars and tax is calculated by Paddle at checkout.
Refunds are covered by the refund policy.
3. Revocation
A licence key may be revoked where the purchase was refunded, reversed or charged back, or where the key has been shared publicly. Revocation removes access to Pro features. The free features continue to work.
4. Acceptable use
You are responsible for what you capture, in still images and in recordings alike. Do not use Screenshot Crawler to copy material you have no right to copy, to breach another site’s terms, or to collect personal information unlawfully. The batch capture feature requests pages the way a browser does; using it at a volume or frequency that burdens a site you do not control is your responsibility.
Screen recording captures the page you have open, as a WebM file written to your own computer. It records no audio, no webcam and nothing outside that page. A recording still produces a copy of whatever is on the page, so the paragraph above applies to a recording exactly as it applies to a screenshot.
Do not attempt to forge, tamper with or circumvent licence keys.
5. The software is provided as is
Screenshot Crawler is provided without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. It is not guaranteed to capture every page correctly. Websites vary enormously. Some layouts, cross-origin frames and content that loads as you scroll may not capture cleanly. Screen recording also runs to a fixed limit. The free tier records up to 10 seconds and adds a watermark. Pro records up to 5 minutes with no watermark.
A recording is a reduced rendering of the page. Frames are sampled at a rate well below real time, so movement comes back stepped against what you watched on screen. A captured frame wider than 3840 pixels is scaled down to that ceiling, which a high-density display reaches at half that many CSS pixels. The video is compressed with a lossy codec at a capped bitrate, which can soften small text. In Firefox, frames are dropped for as long as the recorded tab is not the tab you are looking at, so switching away leaves a gap in the middle of the file. In Chrome, recording continues when you switch tabs. A recording that runs into a cap is saved with -truncated in its filename.
Nothing in this section limits the guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law or equivalent consumer legislation where you live. Those cannot be excluded. Where a remedy may lawfully be limited, our liability is limited to resupplying the software or refunding what you paid.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, total liability for any claim relating to Screenshot Crawler is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost data, lost profit or lost time.
7. Availability
This website and the licence recovery service are provided on a best-effort basis and may be unavailable at times. Your licence does not depend on them: keys are verified offline inside the extension and keep working regardless.
8. Changes
These terms may change. The date above shows when they last did. Changes are not retrospective. The terms in force when you bought govern that purchase.
