Screenshot Crawler

Privacy policy

The extension

The Screenshot Crawler browser extension collects no personal information and sends no data anywhere. It contains no analytics, no telemetry, no error reporting and no tracking of any kind.

Your screenshots and recordings are produced in your browser and written to your own computer. They are never uploaded. Pages you visit, addresses you capture, and anything visible in a capture stay on your machine.

The scrolling GIF feature is encoded entirely on your device by code shipped inside the extension. No frame leaves your browser, and no encoding service is contacted.

Your settings, saved guides and licence key are stored using your browser’s own extension storage, on your device.

Your licence key is checked against a public key built into the extension. No server is contacted to activate or validate it, so this works with no internet connection.

Your browser may report anonymous usage counts to the add-on store you installed from, such as daily active users. That is the browser and the store, not us, and it is not something we control or receive individually.

Buying Pro

Purchases are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, who act as the merchant of record. Paddle collects the information needed to take payment and meet tax obligations, which typically includes your email address, billing country and payment details. Payment details are handled by Paddle and never reach us.

Paddle’s handling of that information is covered by their privacy policy.

From Paddle we receive, and store, the minimum needed to issue and re-issue your licence: your email address, your name if you gave one, and the transaction reference. This is kept so a lost key can be recovered, and is held on Cloudflare infrastructure.

This website

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics. It is served through Cloudflare, who process request logs including IP addresses as part of delivering and protecting it.

The checkout is loaded from Paddle when you choose to buy, and is subject to their privacy policy.

Email

If you email support, we keep that correspondence in order to answer it.

Your rights

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by emailing support@screenshotcrawler.com. Deleting your purchase record means a lost key can no longer be recovered through this site; the key itself keeps working, because verification is offline.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it.
