Features
Last updated 6 September 2026
Every line on this page describes something in the shipped extension. Items marked Pro need a licence. Everything else is free.
Capture
- Six capture modes: full page including scrolling panels, single panel, all panels, full-length scrolling page, visible window, selected region.
- Click-to-pick element selection, with a live size readout as you hover.
- Sticky and fixed headers settle into place before capture so they appear once. Without that step they would repeat on every tile.
- Pixel rulers on both edges, draggable guides with 1px (10px with Shift) nudge, and measurements between any two guides or to the page edge.
- Keyboard shortcuts for visible capture, full page, and pick-a-panel (
Alt+Shift+V,Alt+Shift+F,Alt+Shift+P). - Adjustable capture delay in Settings, for pages that need more time to repaint between tiles.
Output
- Save as PNG, JPEG or PDF (one long page, or split to A4).
- Copy straight to the clipboard by default after any capture, with a discreet on-page confirmation.
- Save to Downloads automatically, or ask where to save each file.
- Optional notification when a capture finishes saving, and an option to open the containing folder.
- Free captures carry a thin credit line at the bottom edge. Pro captures carry none.
Result page
- Zoom, and a Crop tool: draw a box, resize from any edge or corner, snap to a ratio preset (1:1, 3:4, 4:3, 5:7, 7:5, 16:9, A4, US Letter) or a rule-of-thirds grid.
- "All panels" captures appear as one tab per panel plus a combined tab.
- Optional side-by-side composite of every panel in one image.
- Pro: set a baseline and compare a later capture of the same page against it.
- Pro: searchable text layer inside exported PDFs.
Automation
- Pro: batch capture from a list of URLs, with an option to combine every captured page into a single PNG or PDF (with an optional blank-page break between pages).
- Pro: per-site presets that remember capture mode, panel selection, and overlay/combine/delay settings, offered only on the address they were saved from.
- Pro: saved guide templates, matched by address prefix, with an option to apply automatically on matching pages.
Recording
- Screen recording to WebM. Free: 10 seconds, watermarked. Pro: 2 minutes, no watermark.
- Auto-scroll drives the page (or one panel) during a recording, on by default, so every frame advances the same distance. Adjustable speed and start delay in Settings.
- "Smoother recording" targets 15fps instead of 5, with an automatic fallback if your machine can't sustain it.
- A system notification and a live toolbar badge track a recording in progress; nothing overlays the page itself, so nothing extra ends up in the file.
- Screen recording can be hidden from the popup entirely in Settings, alongside the other capture modes.
Privacy
- No account, no sign-up.
- The extension makes no network requests of its own and declares zero data collection in its manifest.
- Every capture is assembled in your browser and written to your machine.
- No analytics, no telemetry, no error reporting.
- The only stored capture content is diff baselines (Pro), kept in this browser profile only, with a one-click delete-all in Settings.
- Pro licences verify offline against a public key built into the extension. There is no activation server.
Free and Pro, with limits
This table is the one canonical list of what is free and what needs a Pro licence. The last column states the limit of each capability where there is one, and the final row lists what the extension does not do at all.
| Capability | Free | Pro | Limit stated on the page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Six capture modes: full page including scrolling panels; visible window; full length scrolling page; selected region; single panel (click to pick); all panels with side-by-side composite | Yes | Cross-origin iframes are not traversed (same-origin to three levels); virtualised lists beyond repositioning-style may repeat or skip rows | |
| Automatic detection of several scrolling panels, captured at full length in one pass | Yes | As above | |
| Delayed capture (3, 5, 10 s) | Yes | ||
| Batch capture from a list of URLs | Yes | ||
| Per-site selector presets | Yes | ||
| PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF where Firefox can encode it | Yes | Free stills carry a one-line credit; Pro removes it | |
| PDF: one long page, A4, Letter; margins; header and footer; text watermark with scale | Yes | ||
| Watermark colour and opacity | Yes | ||
| Searchable PDF text layer from the page's text, with offline OCR fallback when the page text is sparse | Yes | Text inside shadow DOM is not collected, so web-components UIs (Salesforce, ServiceNow) get a thin layer until this is fixed. Redacted or blurred exports drop the text layer whole | |
| Region text extraction, offline, packaged engine, English | Yes | English only; engine adds about 3.7 MB to the package | |
| Crop with ratios and grid; annotate with arrow, box, text, blur, highlight, redact, sticker; raster watermark | Yes | Blur is cosmetic; use redact for evidence | |
| Redaction: solid black, destroys the pixels, PDF text layer removed | Yes | A redacted PDF is not searchable | |
| Rulers, draggable guides, edge measurements | Yes | ||
| Saved guide templates; preset and template export and import | Yes | ||
| Capture history, last 30, on this device | Yes | Stores full captures where IndexedDB allows; clear from the popup. On a "Never remember history" profile it degrades to thumbnails | |
| Comparison baselines, pixel diff with tolerance, exportable regression report | Yes | ||
| Screen recording, WebM, auto-scroll | 10 s, watermarked | 120 s, clean | No audio; WebM only |
| Licence | Offline Ed25519 check against a built-in public key; no activation server; no account; free updates through every 1.x release | ||
| Not present | URL or timestamp stamped on the image or in PDF metadata; clickable links in PDF; audio; MP4; UI languages other than English; automatic detection of personal data for redaction; capture of all open tabs |
