A GoFullPage alternative for pages with scrolling panels
Last updated 11 October 2026
Screenshot Crawler is a Firefox extension for pages with several independently scrolling panels. Its Page + all panels mode finds each panel, captures it at full length and keeps the page around it in one image. GoFullPage suits ordinary whole-page capture, especially in Chrome. You can try both free on the same test page.
Who each tool suits
GoFullPage suits you if
- You use Chrome or Edge and want an extension installed from the official store. GoFullPage's FAQ links listings on the Chrome Web Store, Microsoft Edge Add-ons and Firefox Add-ons (GoFullPage FAQ).
- You want a widely used tool. Its Chrome Web Store listing shows 11,000,000 users and a 4.9 rating from 84.4K ratings.
- You mostly capture long pages that scroll once, from top to bottom. Its free version exports as many screenshots as you like as an image or PDF.
Screenshot Crawler suits you if
- You use Firefox 142 or later.
- Your pages have more than one area with its own scrollbar, such as dashboards, mail clients, admin tools and documentation sidebars.
- You want crop, annotation and permanent redaction on the free tier, and a one-off US$5 payment for Pro with no account.
If you work in Chrome every day, GoFullPage is the easier install today. Screenshot Crawler runs in Chrome only as a test build that you load unpacked. It has been submitted to the Chrome Web Store and is in review.
GoFullPage and Screenshot Crawler compared

| Sticky and fixed headers | Its FAQ says it stops most fixed elements repeating across the screenshot. Source | Sticky and fixed elements settle before each section is taken, so they appear once. |
| Export formats | PNG, JPEG and PDF in a choice of paper sizes. Source | PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF where the browser supports it, and PDF as one long page, A4 or Letter. Pro adds a searchable PDF text layer. Vector PDF is a separate action. |

| Pricing | Free capture and export. Premium is US$12 a year before tax, renews each year, with a 7-day free trial. Source | Free has every capture mode at full length, with a thin credit line that Crop removes. Pro is US$5, paid once. |
| Account needed | No account to capture and download. Premium is managed through a GoFullPage account. Source | No account. The licence key verifies offline. |
| Where processing happens | Its FAQ says screenshots are kept in sandboxed browser storage on your computer and are not on any servers. Source | On your device. The extension makes no network requests of its own and uploads nothing. |
Where the two differ on scrolling panels
Both tools say they handle scrolling areas inside a page. GoFullPage describes this in its listing and FAQ. The difference this page can source is how Screenshot Crawler treats a page with several panels. Page + all panels detects every area that scrolls on its own, expands each one to its full length and places it in the page around it. You get one image of the whole screen as the content actually exists, including the rows that sat below each panel's fold.
Screenshot Crawler also lets you narrow the job. One panel captures a single area you click. Panels only lists the areas it found, and you tick the ones to save as separate files. The other modes are Visible area, Full scrolling page and Select region.
We have not published a side-by-side result of GoFullPage on a multi-panel page. The fairest check is to run both tools yourself on the same page.
How to test both on the same page
The two-panel test page is a mock dashboard with two lists that scroll independently and a sticky sidebar. Everything on it is synthetic data.
- Install both extensions from their official listings: GoFullPage on Firefox Add-ons and Screenshot Crawler on Firefox Add-ons.
- Open screenshotcrawler.com/test.
- Scroll Panel A and Panel B to different positions.
- Capture the page with GoFullPage.
- Capture it again with Screenshot Crawler, using Page + all panels.
- Check each image for the whole outer page, Panel A through row A100, Panel B through row B100, and the left menu shown once.
Keep whichever result matches what you need. If GoFullPage gives you a complete capture, it may be all you need.
Common questions
Is there a GoFullPage alternative for Firefox?
Yes. Screenshot Crawler runs in Firefox 142 or later and is free to install from Firefox Add-ons. GoFullPage also has an official Firefox listing, linked from its FAQ. Its FAQ advises installing only through official channels to avoid copycats.
Why is GoFullPage not capturing my scrolling panel?
GoFullPage's FAQ says some pages do not capture properly, including PDFs and sites that control scrolling with their own JavaScript. It recommends closing pop-ups and letting the page load fully first. If the page has several panels, try Screenshot Crawler's One panel or Page + all panels, and compare the two on the test page.
Is GoFullPage free?
Capturing and downloading are free, as images or PDF. Editing tools such as crop and annotation need GoFullPage Premium, which its FAQ prices at US$12 a year before tax, with a 7-day free trial.
Does Screenshot Crawler work in Chrome?
Only as a test build. You download a ZIP, turn on Developer mode at chrome://extensions and load the folder unpacked. It does not update automatically. The Chrome guide covers installation.
